Cable High Row (Kneeling, Rope Attachment)
Kneeling under a high pulley, pull the rope down to the face with the elbows high; kneeling keeps the legs out of the pull.
How to do it
Setup
Kneeling facing a high pulley, torso tall, a rope end in each hand, arms reaching up.
Steps
- Pull the rope down toward the eyes, elbows flaring high.
- Finish with the rope at the face, elbows wide.
- Let the arms rise back toward the pulley.
Common mistakes
Elbows diving to the ribs: that turns it into a pulldown; keep them high. Leaning back to finish: keep the torso tall; lighter stack. Pulling the rope to the chest: aim it at the face.
Breathing
Exhale on the pull, inhale on the return.
