BOSU Ball Single-Leg Squat
The single-leg squat on the dome of a BOSU ball; the soft surface makes the ankle, knee and hip work for balance on every rep.
How to do it
Setup
One foot in the middle of the dome, the other lifted, arms crossed at the chest.
Steps
- Sit the hips back and down only as far as balance allows.
- Keep the knee over the middle of the foot as the dome shifts.
- Stand tall and let the wobble settle before the next rep.
Common mistakes
Knee caving as the dome tips: track it over the toes. Going deeper than the balance holds: a shallow clean rep beats a fall. Rushing from rep to rep: let the dome go still first.
Breathing
Inhale down, exhale up.
