Band V-Up
The V-up against a band looped round the ankles from a low anchor beyond the feet; the band pulls the legs back as they rise.
How to do it
Setup
Lying long with the arms past the head, both ankles in a band that runs to a low anchor past the feet.
Steps
- Fold up, the chest and both straight legs rising together against the band.
- Reach the hands toward the feet at the top.
- Lower both ends slowly as the band pulls.
Common mistakes
Legs dropping fast with the band: control them all the way down. Knees bending to make the fold easier: keep the legs long. Only the legs moving: the chest must rise to meet them.
Breathing
Exhale on the fold, inhale lowering.
