Band Standing Single-Arm Twist Row

The one-arm band row in a split stance with a turn of the torso; the band pulls hardest just as the chest opens.

How to do it

Setup

Split stance facing the rack, the band anchored at chest height, the handle in one hand, arm long.

Steps

  1. Row the handle back and turn the chest toward the working side.
  2. Hold the turned finish for a beat.
  3. Unwind slowly as the band draws the arm forward.

Common mistakes

Letting the band spin you back: resist the return. Rotating the hips: the chest turns, the hips face the rack. Standing too close: step back until the band is taut at a long arm.

Breathing

Exhale on the row and turn, inhale returning.
