Band Standing Reverse Curl
The reverse curl standing on a band with handles, palms down; the band's pull grows as the hands rise, so the top is the hardest part.
How to do it
Setup
Standing on the middle of the band, feet hip-width, a handle in each hand, overhand grip, elbows at the sides.
Steps
- Raise the handles toward the shoulders with the knuckles up.
- Squeeze the top where the band pulls hardest.
- Lower slowly; do not let the band snap the arms down.
Common mistakes
Handles twisting toward a hammer grip: keep the backs of the hands up. Elbows sliding forward to finish: they stay by the ribs. Too little tension at the bottom: step wider on the band or shorten it.
Breathing
Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
