Band Single Stiff-Leg Deadlift with Single-Arm Row

A single-leg stiff-legged hinge toward a low anchor, then standing up into a high knee while one arm rows the band to the ribs.

How to do it

Setup

Facing a band with a handle anchored low ahead, the handle in one hand, weight on the opposite leg, knee soft.

Steps

  1. Hinge forward on one leg as the other extends back and the arm reaches for the anchor.
  2. Stand tall on that leg, driving the free knee up as the arm rows the handle to the ribs.
  3. Hinge forward again without setting the free foot down.

Common mistakes

Standing knee locked or deeply bent: keep it soft and still through the hinge. Rowing side of the pelvis rotating back: keep both hips facing the anchor. Rushing into the knee drive: find the balance at the top before the next hinge.

Breathing

Inhale hinging, exhale on the row and the knee drive.
