Band Squat with Single-Arm Row

The band squat row done one arm at a time: squat with the arm reaching toward the anchor, then stand and row the handle to the ribs.

How to do it

Setup

Facing a band with a handle anchored at about waist height, the handle in one hand, feet shoulder-width.

Steps

  1. Squat with the handle arm straight out toward the anchor.
  2. Stand up and row the handle to the ribs in one move.
  3. Reach forward again as you sink into the next squat.

Common mistakes

Torso twisting toward the rowing arm: keep the shoulders square to the anchor. Rowing only after standing: the pull and the stand finish together. Knees falling inward at the bottom: push them out in line with the feet.

Breathing

Inhale squatting, exhale standing and rowing.
