Band Kneeling Preacher Curl

The crouched preacher curl against a band tied to the foot of a post: the knees are the pad, and the band pulls hardest at the top.

How to do it

Setup

Crouched on the heels facing a post, band anchored at its base, handles held palms up, elbows on the knees.

Steps

  1. Curl the handles up toward the face.
  2. Hold the top, where the band is tightest.
  3. Lower slowly toward the anchor.

Common mistakes

Band slack at the start: shuffle back until it pulls with the arms straight. Losing balance on the heels: widen the feet and stay low. Letting the band snap the arms open: control the lowering.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
