Band Bent-Over Wide-Grip Row
The band bent-over row pulled wide, the elbows flaring out to the sides; the upper back does more than in the row to the ribs.
How to do it
Setup
Standing on the band, feet hip-width, hinged over with a flat back, the handles hanging under the shoulders.
Steps
- Row the handles up and out, elbows wide at shoulder level.
- Draw the shoulder blades together at the top.
- Lower slowly against the band.
Common mistakes
Elbows sliding back to the ribs: that is the narrow row; keep them wide. Standing up out of the hinge: the angle holds. Band too light to feel at the bottom: stand wider on it.
Breathing
Exhale on the row, inhale lowering.
