Band Bent-Over Lat Pulldown

The pulldown done bent over: with the torso near level and the band anchored in front, the arms pull from long overhead to the shoulders along the lats' line.

How to do it

Setup

Hips back and knees bent, torso near level with the floor, the band anchored in front at head height, arms long.

Steps

  1. Pull the band to the shoulders, elbows driving toward the hips.
  2. Hold the hinge so only the arms and blades move.
  3. Reach forward again until the arms are long.

Common mistakes

Rising out of the hinge as the band stretches: the torso angle stays. Rounding the lower back: hips back, spine long. Band snapping the arms forward: slow return.

Breathing

Exhale on the pull, inhale on the return.
