Ball Assisted Lying Supine Hip Adduction

Lying flat on the back with straight legs, squeeze a stability ball between the ankles, release a little and squeeze again.

How to do it

Setup

On your back, legs straight, a stability ball held between the ankles, arms at the sides.

Steps

  1. Squeeze the ball with the inner ankles and thighs.
  2. Hold the squeeze for a beat.
  3. Ease off without letting the ball drop, then repeat.

Common mistakes

Letting the ball roll out: keep a little squeeze between reps. Lifting the heels off the floor: the legs stay down. Rushing the squeezes: slow and firm.

Breathing

Exhale on the squeeze, inhale easing off.
