Band Hip Adduction
The standing hip adduction against a band anchored low beside you and looped round the near ankle; the leg sweeps across in front of the standing one.
How to do it
Setup
Side-on to a rack with the band anchored low on the post, the loop around the near ankle, the leg starting out toward the anchor.
Steps
- Sweep the near leg in across the front of the standing leg.
- Keep the torso still; only the leg travels.
- Let the band draw the leg back out slowly; switch sides after the set.
Common mistakes
Twisting the hips to swing the leg across: the leg moves alone. Standing too close to the anchor: the band is slack at the start; step away. Snapping back out: control the return.
Breathing
Exhale on the sweep across, inhale returning.
