Wipers (Straight Leg)
Lying with the arms out wide and the straight legs pointing up, lower the legs together to one side and bring them back over the hips, like a windshield wiper.
How to do it
Setup
On your back, arms out to the sides, palms down, legs straight and together pointing at the ceiling.
Steps
- Lower both legs to one side as far as the opposite shoulder stays down.
- Pull them back up over the hips with the abs.
- Lower to the other side and keep alternating.
Common mistakes
Opposite shoulder lifting off the floor: stop the legs higher. Legs dropping and bouncing off the floor: lower them slowly and stop just above it. Knees bending as the legs fall: keep them straight or shorten the range.
Breathing
Exhale bringing the legs up, inhale lowering them.
