Weighted Sandbag Carry (Shoulders)
Walk with a sandbag lying across the upper back behind the neck, hands on its handles by the shoulders; the load sits high, so the trunk stays upright.
How to do it
Setup
Bag settled across the upper back like a bar, hands on its handles by the shoulders, elbows down, chest up.
Steps
- Walk with even steps, eyes forward.
- Keep the bag centered across the back.
- Lower the bag to the floor under control at the end.
Common mistakes
Bag sliding onto the neck: settle it lower on the upper back. Head pushed forward by the load: chin tucked, eyes ahead. Uneven grip on the handles: the bag drifts to one side; hold both evenly.
Breathing
Steady throughout the walk.
