Three-Quarter Sit-Up
The sit-up stopped about three quarters of the way up; short of upright, the abs never rest over the hips.
How to do it
Setup
On your back, knees bent, feet flat and hip-width, arms crossed on the chest.
Steps
- Curl up until the torso is about three quarters of the way to upright.
- Pause there for a beat, short of vertical.
- Roll back down until the shoulder blades touch the floor.
Common mistakes
Sitting all the way up: stop short of vertical, or the load slips off the abs. Feet lifting as you rise: slower curl, feet pressed down. Dropping back flat: roll down one vertebra at a time.
Breathing
Exhale sitting up, inhale rolling down.
