Assisted Lying Leg Raise with Throw Down
A lying leg raise with a partner who pushes the legs back down from the top; you stop them before the floor and raise them again.
How to do it
Setup
On your back, head by a standing partner's feet, hands gripping the partner's ankles.
Steps
- Raise the straight legs to the partner's hands.
- Brace as the partner pushes them down.
- Stop them above the floor and raise them again.
Common mistakes
Lower back arching as the legs fly down: stop them higher until it holds. Partner throwing too hard: a firm push, not a slam. Letting the heels hit the floor: catch the legs every time.
Breathing
Exhale as the legs rise, inhale as they lower.
