Standing Single-Leg High Knee to Butt Kick with Support

Standing on one leg with a hand on a support, the free leg drives up into a high knee and swings back into a butt kick.

How to do it

Setup

Standing tall beside a rack upright, one hand on it, weight on the standing leg.

Steps

  1. Drive the free knee up to hip height.
  2. Swing it down and back, kicking the heel toward the seat.
  3. Keep the rhythm going; switch legs after the set.

Common mistakes

Leaning on the support: a light touch for balance only. Standing knee buckling: keep it soft but steady. Rounding forward on the knee drive: stay tall.

Breathing

Steady with the rhythm.
