Seated Single-Leg Knee Flexion

Seated on the floor leaning back on the hands, slide one heel in toward the seat to bend the knee as far as it goes, then slide it back out.

How to do it

Setup

Seated on the floor, leaning back on the hands, both legs long.

Steps

  1. Slide one heel along the floor toward the seat.
  2. Bend the knee as far as it comfortably goes.
  3. Slide the heel back out until the leg is straight; switch legs after the set.

Common mistakes

Lifting the heel off the floor: it slides along it the whole way. Forcing the last degrees: stop at a firm stretch, never at pain. Slumping back onto the elbows: stay up on the hands, the chest tall.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale extending.
