Seated Single-Leg Hugging Knee Flexion

Seated upright with the hands clasped over the front of one shin, draw the heel closer to the seat to bend the knee deeper, helped by the arms.

How to do it

Setup

Seated tall on the floor, one knee bent with the foot flat, hands clasped over that shin, the other leg long.

Steps

  1. Pull the shin in with the arms as the heel slides toward the seat.
  2. Pause where the knee bend is deepest.
  3. Ease off and let the heel slide back a little; switch legs after the set.

Common mistakes

Rounding the back to pull harder: sit tall and let the arms do the pulling. Yanking the shin: a slow, steady pull, eased off under control. Heel lifting off the floor: keep it sliding along it.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale extending.
