Seated Shoulder Tap on a Chair
A chair drill for the arms: from arms spread wide at shoulder level, fold the hands in to touch the shoulders and spread them out again.
How to do it
Setup
Seated near the front of a chair, feet flat, back tall, arms spread straight at shoulder height, palms up.
Steps
- Fold the forearms in and tap the fingertips on the shoulders.
- Hold the upper arms level throughout.
- Reach the hands back out to straight arms.
Common mistakes
Arms sagging below shoulder height: lift them back to level or rest. Rounding forward in the chair: sit tall, chest open. Rushing the taps: an even, unhurried pace.
Breathing
Easy and steady.
