Roll Glute Twist Lying on Floor
Lying on the back with a foam roller across under the pelvis and the legs raised, bend the knees and let them drop to one side so the hips turn onto that buttock on the roller.
How to do it
Setup
Lying on the back, a foam roller across under the pelvis, the hands holding its ends, the legs raised straight above the hips.
Steps
- Bend the knees and lower them to one side, turning onto that buttock.
- Pause there and breathe as the roller presses the glute.
- Straighten the legs back up over the middle; switch sides after the set.
Common mistakes
Dropping the knees fast: lower them slowly under control. Letting go of the roller: the hands keep it in place under the pelvis. Twisting into lower back pain: turn less, or keep the feet on the floor.
Breathing
Exhale turning to the side, inhale returning.
