Resistance Band Toe Touch

In a quarter squat with a looped band above the knees, one foot taps forward, out to the side and back while the other leg holds the squat.

How to do it

Setup

Quarter squat, a looped band just above the knees, hands on the hips, weight on one leg.

Steps

  1. Tap the free foot forward, then back to the center.
  2. Tap it out to the side, then behind, returning each time.
  3. Keep the standing knee pushed out; switch legs after the set.

Common mistakes

Standing up between taps: stay in the quarter squat. Standing knee caving in: the band pulls it; push it out. Putting weight on the tapping foot: the toes only touch.

Breathing

Steady throughout; never held.
