Resistance Band Standing Hip Extension

The standing kickback against a mini loop band around both thighs; no anchor is needed, and the band pulls the working leg back toward the standing one.

How to do it

Setup

Standing tall at a support, a mini loop band just above the knees, weight on one leg.

Steps

  1. Push the free leg back against the band, knee straight.
  2. Pause at the end without leaning forward.
  3. Bring the leg back beside the other; finish the leg, switch.

Common mistakes

Band rolling up the thighs: set it just above the knees. Leaning forward to kick further: the range is short; stay tall. Standing knee buckling: keep it soft but firm.

Breathing

Exhale pushing back, inhale returning.
