Resistance Band Punch
Punches against bands anchored behind at shoulder height, one arm at a time, from a split stance; the bands pull hardest at full reach.
How to do it
Setup
Back to an anchor at shoulder height, split stance, a band end wrapped in each fist at the chest.
Steps
- Punch one fist straight forward against the band.
- Return it to the chest under control as the other fist punches out.
- Keep the chest facing forward through every punch.
Common mistakes
Band snapping the fist back: control every return. Stance too short for the pull: lengthen it until you stay put. Elbow flaring out on the punch: it travels straight behind the fist.
Breathing
Exhale with each punch.
