Raise Single Leg Push-Up

The push-up with one foot lifted off the floor for the whole set; with three points of support, the hips and trunk hold the line harder.

How to do it

Setup

High plank, hands under the shoulders, one leg lifted just off the floor behind.

Steps

  1. Lower the chest to just above the floor, the lifted leg in line with the body.
  2. Press back up without letting the hips tilt.
  3. Finish the set, then switch legs.

Common mistakes

Lifted leg swinging up high: just off the floor is enough; keep the hips level. Hips tilting toward the standing leg: squeeze the glutes and brace. Lifted foot touching down between reps: keep it up the whole set.

Breathing

Inhale lowering, exhale pressing.
