Resistance Band Lying Bent Knee Hip Abduction

Lying on the back with the knees bent and the feet lifted, press the knees apart against a looped band while the thighs stay vertical.

How to do it

Setup

On your back, hips and knees bent to 90°, shins level with the floor, a looped band above the knees.

Steps

  1. Press the knees apart against the band.
  2. Hold the widest point for a beat, shins still level.
  3. Bring the knees back together slowly.

Common mistakes

Lower back lifting off the floor: keep it pressed down. Feet dropping toward the floor: hold the shins level. Snapping the knees back together: control the close.

Breathing

Exhale pressing apart, inhale returning.
