Push-Up (from Standing Position)
From standing, fold down, walk the hands out to a plank, do a push-up and walk the hands back to stand; each rep starts and ends upright.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall, feet hip-width.
Steps
- Fold forward, hands to the floor, and walk them out to a plank.
- Lower the chest to the floor and press back up.
- Walk the hands back to the feet and stand.
Common mistakes
Hips sagging in the plank: brace before the push-up. Walking out past the shoulders: stop with the hands under them. Rounding the back to stand: bend the knees and rise with a long spine.
