Pulse Row
Face down with the straight arms along the sides, the hands lift just off the floor and pulse up and down in a small range; the elbows never bend.
How to do it
Setup
Face down on the floor, legs long, arms straight along the sides, forehead down.
Steps
- Lift both straight arms just off the floor, blades drawn back.
- Pulse them up and down in a short, quick range.
- Lower the arms to the floor at the end of the set.
Common mistakes
Bending the elbows into a row: the arms stay straight; the shoulders move them. Lifting the chest to raise the arms higher: the chest stays down; the range is small. Shrugging toward the ears: keep the neck long and the blades low.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
