Medicine Ball Lying Leg Raise
The lying straight-leg raise with a medicine ball held between the feet, the arms spread on the floor for balance.
How to do it
Setup
On the back, arms out wide, a medicine ball pinched between the feet, legs long just off the floor.
Steps
- Raise the ball to vertical with straight legs.
- Hold it over the hips for a beat.
- Lower the legs slowly, the ball squeezed tight.
Common mistakes
Ball slipping from the feet: squeeze it hard and start with a light one. Legs dropping fast under the weight: lower on a slow count. Lower back arching at the bottom: stop the ball higher.
