Leg Raise Oblique Crunch
Lying on one side on the forearm, raise the straight top leg high as the top elbow crunches down toward it.
How to do it
Setup
On your side, propped on the bottom forearm, legs long and stacked, top hand behind the head.
Steps
- Lift the top leg high as the torso side-bends up to meet it.
- Bring the top elbow toward the raised knee.
- Lower the leg and the torso together; switch sides after the set.
Common mistakes
Rolling onto the back: stay square on the side so the waist bends, not twists. Swinging the leg up: lift it under control. Dropping the leg onto the bottom one: lower it until it just touches, then lift again.
Breathing
Exhale on the crunch, inhale lowering.
