Landmine Single-Leg Romanian Deadlift
The single-leg Romanian deadlift holding the loaded end of a landmine bar in one hand; the pivot steadies the path, so balancing is easier than with a free weight.
How to do it
Setup
Standing at the loaded end of a landmine bar, gripping it by the collar in one hand; weight on one leg, knee soft.
Steps
- Hinge on the standing leg, the free leg reaching back as the bar lowers.
- Keep the hips square and the bar close to the standing leg.
- Rise by squeezing the standing glute; finish the side, then switch.
Common mistakes
Letting the bar pull the shoulder down: keep the shoulders level. Hips rotating open toward the bar: both hip points face the floor. Locking the standing knee: soft through the whole set.
Breathing
Inhale hinging, exhale standing.
