Kettlebell Single-Leg Deadlift Pass

The single-leg deadlift with one kettlebell that changes hands in front of the hips at the top of every rep.

How to do it

Setup

Standing on one leg, knee soft, a kettlebell in one hand.

Steps

  1. Hinge forward as the free leg reaches back.
  2. Lower the bell toward the floor, hips square.
  3. Stand and pass the bell to the other hand.

Common mistakes

Hips opening toward the ceiling: point both hip bones at the floor. Dropping the bell on the pass: slow the handoff at the hips. Locking the standing knee: a slight bend protects it.

Breathing

Inhale hinging, exhale standing.
