Ladder Drill
Quick short steps forward through an agility ladder, the feet touching down inside the squares; fast feet, not long strides.
How to do it
Setup
At the end of an agility ladder laid flat, standing tall on the balls of the feet.
Steps
- Run through the ladder with quick, short steps into the squares.
- Lift the knees just enough to clear the rungs.
- Pump the arms, then walk back to the start after each pass.
Common mistakes
Looking down at every rung: eyes forward; feel the ladder. Landing flat and heavy: stay on the balls of the feet. Stepping on the rungs: tidy steps inside the squares beat speed.
Breathing
Fast steady rhythm.
