Kettlebell Lying on Floor Chest Press

The kettlebell floor press with a bell in each hand, both pressed together from the floor.

How to do it

Setup

Lying on the floor, knees bent, a bell racked on each forearm, upper arms on the floor at about 45°.

Steps

  1. Press both bells up to lockout over the chest.
  2. Lower until both upper arms rest on the floor.
  3. Pause there, then press again.

Common mistakes

One bell running ahead: press them as a pair, level at the top. Wrists folding back under the bells: knuckles up, bells on the forearms. Bouncing the elbows off the floor: let the arms settle before the next press.

Breathing

Inhale lowering, exhale pressing.
