Dumbbell Standing Alternating Tricep Kickback

Standing hinged over, kicking back one dumbbell at a time; the other arm holds its bent position until its turn.

How to do it

Setup

Hinged forward, knees soft, back flat, a bell in each hand, elbows by the ribs.

Steps

  1. Extend one arm back to straight.
  2. Return it to 90° as the other extends.
  3. Keep the hinge steady through every switch.

Common mistakes

Torso rocking with each switch: brace and hold the hinge. Waiting arm drifting down: keep its elbow up by the ribs. Rushing into a swing: finish one arm before the other starts.

Breathing

Exhale extending, inhale returning.
