Dumbbell Seated Reverse-Grip One-Arm Overhead Tricep Extension

The seated one-arm overhead extension against a back support, the bell held in a reverse grip with the palm turned to face back.

How to do it

Setup

Seated against a back support, one bell overhead in a reverse grip, the free hand steadying the working elbow.

Steps

  1. Bend the elbow to lower the bell behind the head.
  2. Keep the elbow pointing up, held by the free hand.
  3. Extend back to a straight arm; switch sides after the set.

Common mistakes

Wrist turning back to the usual grip: hold the reverse grip through the rep; it is the variant. Elbow drifting out: the free hand keeps it in. Back peeling off the support: stay against it.

Breathing

Inhale lowering, exhale extending.
