Dumbbell Rear Lunge Front Raise

A reverse lunge with a front raise at the bottom: step back, raise both bells, lower them as you stand.

How to do it

Setup

Stand tall, feet hip-width, bells hanging in front of the thighs.

Steps

  1. Step BACK into a lunge, back knee toward the floor.
  2. At the bottom, raise both bells to shoulder height.
  3. Lower the bells as you drive up through the front foot.

Common mistakes

Raising the bells before the knee settles: lunge first, then raise. Torso tipping forward under the raise: chest tall, lighter bells. Front knee caving in: track it over the toes.

Breathing

Inhale into the lunge, exhale on the raise.
