Dumbbell Kickbacks on Stability Ball

Chest over a stability ball, sweep both dumbbells from under the shoulders back to the hips, straightening the arms.

How to do it

Setup

Kneeling, chest and belly over a stability ball, bells hanging under the shoulders, elbows slightly bent.

Steps

  1. Sweep the bells back toward the hips, straightening the elbows.
  2. Pause with the arms straight and level with the back.
  3. Lower the bells back under the shoulders under control.

Common mistakes

Swinging the bells up with momentum: a slow sweep and a pause at the top. Rolling on the ball as the arms move: knees wide, hips still. Arms stopping bent at the top: finish with the elbows straight beside the hips.

Breathing

Exhale on the raise, inhale lowering.
