Clock Push-Up
A push-up after which the hands walk a step to one side, the feet as the pivot, so the body turns around them like a clock hand.
How to do it
Setup
High plank, hands under the shoulders, feet together as the fixed point.
Steps
- Lower the chest to the floor and press back up.
- Walk the hands a step to one side, the feet staying put.
- Keep going around the circle, then come back the other way.
Common mistakes
Hips sagging while the hands walk: hold the plank line between reps too. Steps so wide the hands end up outside the shoulders: take small steps and reset the hands under the shoulders. Feet shuffling with the hands: they are the pivot; keep them planted.
Breathing
Inhale down, exhale on the press.
