Cable Tuck Reverse Crunch

A tuck crunch between two low pulleys, one strapped to the ankles and one held behind the head, so both ends curl in against a stack.

How to do it

Setup

On your back between two low pulleys, the ankle strap on one cable, the other cable's rope held behind the head.

Steps

  1. Curl the shoulders up as the knees draw in to the chest.
  2. Meet in a tight tuck, the hips just off the floor.
  3. Lengthen out slowly until both cables are taut.

Common mistakes

Pulling the head with the rope: the hands stay fixed behind the head; the abs curl. Lying off-center between the towers: set the hips midway so both cables pull in line. Letting the stacks snap you flat: control the return.

Breathing

Exhale on the tuck, inhale extending.
