Cable Seated Floor One-Arm Concentration Curl
Seated on the floor facing a low pulley, the working elbow rests on the raised knee of the same side; curl the handle toward the head.
How to do it
Setup
Seated on the floor facing a low pulley, the working-side knee bent up, the back of the upper arm on it, the other hand on the floor behind.
Steps
- Curl the handle toward the head, arm resting on the knee.
- Squeeze at the top for a beat.
- Extend the arm toward the pulley slowly; switch arms after the set.
Common mistakes
Sitting too close to the stack: slide back until the cable pulls with the arm straight. Knee dropping away from under the arm: hold it up with the foot planted. Leaning back on the support hand to heave the handle: the torso stays still.
Breathing
Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
