Cable Reverse-Grip Biceps Curl (EZ-Bar)

The reverse curl at the low pulley on the angled EZ attachment; the tilted grips ease the wrists in the palms-down position.

How to do it

Setup

Facing a low pulley, the EZ attachment gripped overhand on its angled parts, elbows at the sides.

Steps

  1. Curl the bar toward the chest with the wrists straight.
  2. Keep the elbows still at the sides.
  3. Lower slowly until the arms are straight and the cable still pulls.

Common mistakes

Wrists bending back under the bar: keep the knuckles in line with the forearms. Elbows leaving the ribs at the top: stop the curl where they would start to move. Leaning back to finish the rep: the palms-down grip is weaker; lighten the stack.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
