Bodyweight Patrick Step

A single-leg knee bend on the floor: the standing knee travels forward over the toes as the other leg reaches ahead to touch the heel down.

How to do it

Setup

Standing on one leg, hands on the hips, the other leg straight and just off the floor in front.

Steps

  1. Bend the standing knee forward over the toes, the heel staying down.
  2. Reach the free heel forward to touch the floor.
  3. Stand back up by straightening the knee; switch legs after the set.

Common mistakes

Knee caving inward: track it over the middle toes. Sitting the hips back instead: the knee goes forward and the torso stays tall. Dropping onto the heel tap: touch lightly; the standing leg holds you.

Breathing

Inhale down, exhale up.
