Biceps Curl under Table
Lying under a sturdy table and holding its edge with an underhand grip, curl the body up until the forehead nears the table; the body is the load.
How to do it
Setup
Lying face up under a heavy table, hands gripping its edge underhand at shoulder width, legs straight, heels on the floor.
Steps
- Bend the elbows to curl the body up toward the table edge.
- Hold one straight line from the heels to the head.
- Lower back down until the arms are straight.
Common mistakes
A table light enough to tip: use a heavy, stable one and test it before the first rep. Hips sagging toward the floor: squeeze the glutes. Pulling the chest to the edge: that turns into a row; the head goes toward the table and the elbows stay forward.
Breathing
Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
