Band Standing on BOSU Ball Single-Leg Abduction
The band hip abduction standing on one leg on a BOSU: the far leg sweeps out against the band while the standing hip balances on the dome.
How to do it
Setup
Standing on one leg on a BOSU's dome, side-on to a low anchor, the band looped around the far ankle, hands on the hips.
Steps
- Sweep the far leg out to the side against the band.
- Keep the standing knee soft and the torso tall.
- Return slowly without touching down; switch sides after the set.
Common mistakes
Wobbling off the dome: start with a lighter band and a hand on the rack. Leaning toward the anchor: stay upright. Standing knee locking: keep it soft for balance.
Breathing
Exhale on the sweep, inhale returning.
