Band Standing Internal Shoulder Rotation
The standing internal rotation against a band fixed beside you at elbow height; the band pulls hardest as the hand nears the belly.
How to do it
Setup
Standing side-on to the anchor, the band in the near hand, elbow bent 90° at the side, forearm pointing out.
Steps
- Pull the hand in across the body to the belly.
- Hold the elbow against the side as the forearm turns.
- Ease the hand back out against the band.
Common mistakes
Turning the torso with the arm: the chest faces forward; only the forearm travels. Elbow lifting off the side: keep it pinned to the ribs. Band slack at the start: step away from the anchor until it pulls.
Breathing
Exhale turning in, inhale returning.
