Band Squat Row
Squat down holding a band anchored in front, then stand and pull the ends to the ribs; the band pulls hardest as the elbows go back at the top.
How to do it
Setup
Facing a band anchored at about chest height, feet shoulder-width, the ends in both hands, arms long.
Steps
- Sit into a squat, arms reaching long toward the anchor.
- Drive up to standing, then pull the band to the ribs.
- Let the arms go long before the next squat.
Common mistakes
Pulling before the legs have finished: the stand comes first, the row second. Knees caving as you sit down: push them out over the toes. Leaning back to stretch the band: stand tall and step closer if it is too strong.
Breathing
Inhale down, exhale on the stand and row.
