Band Single Stiff-Leg Deadlift

A single-leg stiff-leg deadlift against a band anchored low in front, so the pull grows as the torso comes back up.

How to do it

Setup

Standing on one leg a few steps from a low anchor, a handle in each hand, arms long, the free leg just off the floor.

Steps

  1. Hinge on the standing leg, the free leg rising behind in line with the torso.
  2. Keep the arms straight and the hips square to the floor.
  3. Stand tall against the band's pull; switch legs after the set.

Common mistakes

Band yanking you forward at the bottom: step farther from the anchor or use a lighter band. Hips opening toward the free side: point both hip bones at the floor. Standing knee locking hard: keep it soft.

Breathing

Inhale hinging, exhale standing.
