Band One-Arm Twisting Chest Press
Seated on the floor, a one-arm band press that starts with the torso turned back toward the anchor and finishes square, the trunk turning with the arm.
How to do it
Setup
Seated on the floor, legs straight, the anchor behind the working side at chest height, the band's end at the chest.
Steps
- Turn the chest toward the anchor with the hand at the shoulder.
- Press the hand forward as the torso turns back to face ahead.
- Let the band draw the arm and torso back slowly; switch sides after the set.
Common mistakes
Rounding the lower back on the floor: sit tall on the sitting bones. Arm finishing before the turn: the chest and the arm arrive together. Rocking the whole body: the hips stay planted; the turn is in the ribs.
Breathing
Exhale pressing, inhale returning.
