Band Kneeling One-Arm Pulldown

The one-arm band pulldown from one knee, the torso leaning slightly toward a high anchor and the hand pulled down to the hip.

How to do it

Setup

Half-kneeling facing the high anchor, torso leaning slightly forward, the band in one hand, arm long.

Steps

  1. Pull the band down and back until the hand reaches the hip.
  2. Keep the torso still and the hips square.
  3. Let the arm reach back up toward the anchor; switch sides after the set.

Common mistakes

Twisting the torso to finish: shoulders stay square to the anchor. Bending the elbow deeply: a slight bend, and the lat pulls. Band snapping back: resist it all the way up.

Breathing

Exhale on the pull, inhale on the stretch.
